We will always remember the great Dave Ford. Dave was a dedicated Vice Chairman and Coach at Horbury Town Juniors but, most importantly, he was a Husband, father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Great friend and missed by many.
His squad play with the passion and good sportsmanship that Dave so strongly believed in. His name can be found around the ground at the Dave Ford Suite and the memorial stone on the club house.
The Huddersfield League u13s compete across the region for the Dave Ford Memorial Vase and his team have their own Dave Ford trophy, given to the player who demonstrates good sportsmanship over the season.
His team are also so proud to have Dave's name on their shirts. Dave passed away far too soon, but his influence and commitment will never be forgotten. Every year the club takes part in the Dave Ford Memory Walk and many Horbury Town players, coaches, fans and friends attend this great event to honour Dave.
Dave was a huge fan of Manchester United and Wakefield Trinity.
On behalf of everyone at the club, as always, our thoughts are with Nicola, Oliver, Alex, his family and friends.
